In the city of Nizhni Novdorod from the 26th to the 31st of January in one of the tourist centers, at the shore of the Gorkovskoye sea was held the IFES annual student conference (IFES - International Fellowship of Evangelical Students). This year the title of the conference was "Christian Thinking".

About 200 students from different places of Russia took part in it. The city of Volgograd was represented by 5 students from the International Students' Fellowship "Jesus Embassy". This conference was about how to learn to praise God with our minds; how to live in real modern student world; and how the disciplines we study at University should combine with the fact that we are Christians. At the conference there was given a challenge: "To be good students!" and to grow in understanding the Gospel.

The students were greatly encouraged by listening to the daily teaching of Nigel Lee from Britain on the book of Romans, and by participating in the course named "From Knowledge to Wisdom". Also at the conference there were held seminars on 30 different topics. Thanks to the open and friendly atmosphere and the ministry of the conference speakers, the way of thinking of many Christian students was transformed. They shared how much pleasure and encouragement they got as they had fellowship with students of IFES in Russia, and had an opportunity to hear what is happening in other cities. There was also time for outdoor activities. Our students from tropical countries didn't miss the opportunity to try skiing.
