On
March 1, 2004 The Jesus' Embassy International Students Fellowship
has visited an orphanage "Louchick" (translated from Russian
- "Beam") with the humanitarian aid program called "From
Children to Children". It was not the first time for our ministers
at this orphanage and every time the goal is to show these children
the love of Christ and share with them the Good News of Salvation.
At this first day of Spring the beam of God's love was beaming to
these children and it made a day special for each one of them.
With great enthusiasm 20 children were watching the plays made by
international students' team. Each one took active part in the show
with dancing and singing. Each child had a chance to reveal his
talents and skills. Almost every child said a little poem learnt
by heart. And each one was given a gift for that.
There was a joy in their eyes, and even more joy when they have
learnt that each one will get a personal present prepared by children
and families from USA, United Kingdom, Holland, Canada, Australia
and Germany. Each gift was packed in nice box and had pens, pencils,
crayons, Color-it books, stuffed toys, dolls, balls, cars and many
other things that bring joy and smile to a child's face. Everything
is new there, nothing of secondhand, so it was really the gift.
Let us together help children of Russia to experience the love and
care, help and support, that many of them, may be for the first
time, would get to know the love of Christ!
